It has been a month since I last posted and I feel so bad! Sometimes I really want to post something, but I'm just too lazy to update haha! Well first thing's first, I am so done with Year 2! The past month or so has been so crazy, I don't know how I managed to get through it because it was just completing projects after projects, and once all the projects ended on a Friday, we had 2 exams the following Tuesday and Wednesday and barely studied much for it. I shared with my friends how this semester is the first time I got through the stressful crap without breaking down much or raging much, because it felt as though Jesus was really carrying my burden and there was this peace and assurance amidst the crazy period so THANK YOU JESUS FOR THIS FEELING! ^,^

this was for our dmd filming i'm so proud of edward/lucas/soniya for all the video and coding! check out our fake-campaign video here
one of the easiest scoring modules ever business etiquette
so my guest was late for 1.5h & gave us a shock because we weren't able to contact him. but he was so accommodating, allowing us to go to his shop+house to interview and video him! thanks adam from caricaturist.sg! :)
borrowed dorcas' doggy lexi for our filming too! thanks for bringing her down & of course thanks to joe for driving us back and forth that day! lexi is super cute and so obedient!

Anyway, Happy Lunar New Year everyone! Went to Chinatown on Tuesday with Boon and it was so crowded there but it's the best place to go to if you wanna soak in the festivity! Got 2 bottles of pineapple tarts at $5 (???!!!!??!!!) and 2kg worth of jelly (I don't even know how hahaha) plus decor that was going at 50% off! Love the CNY spirit there! Still remember last year my sem was there doing digpho and 4 hao and I always frequent Chinatown for the night market and how he Boon and I attempted to walk from Chinatown back to Batok but obviously failed and only walked till Sixth Avenue area at like 345am... Good times and I miss that so much :(
sighs miss you 2 :-(

Alright! I'll post the CNY photos another time because I haven't synced the photos into my laptop! For now, here are some long overdue photos that aren't in order because I'm lazy to arrange them haha! Take care and goat xi fa cai! :-)

Hello, so I think this post is gonna be a little 'depressing' and down, but I just need to really get this off my chest. So I'm sorry beforehand.

I think this statement is over-rated, or something along the lines of: we need to let some people go in our lives sometimes in order to live a better life or something.. It is cliche and I totally understand how this statement can be very irritating, but I think I really understood it today.

A good friend of mine (let's name her X) has been on good terms with me since I was in secondary school. I confided in X many times and she was a really good listening ear, occasionally giving me advice that was really helpful! But subsequently, she started to get all weird ever since something happened in her life. I knew about her moodswings and even in group chats, sometimes her replies were something I really didn't like. When we went out as a group (let's call this group XXX), she was also very indecisive at times. One time we were supposed to meet XXX at a restaurant/pub, and the whole XXX was on time! except her. She was 1h++ late and if you know me, I absolutely hate people being late. If I would to be late, I would inform my friends that I'll be roughly x minutes late but you don't just not say anything and turn up 1h late, expecting the whole world to accommodate to your every need. I rarely meet up with her now because of our different schedules, and she did promise me certain things which she never ever got down to doing it. (Guys, here you better watch out, because girls can have an extremely good memory when it comes down to promises) I think I can never understand her anymore, and even if I try, it's exhausting because I know she's not going to put in an effort and make her promises so there's really no point anymore.

Sorry if I'm being petty here, and I'm really sorry for typing this post. I guess what I wanna say is that I still care for her, and yup I'll be concerned about what's happening in her life, but I think I'm tired of trying already. Memories are something that are meant to be kept, and I guess I'll just leave it as it is. But if people don't bother to try or care, then I'm done trying too.

Hello! Happy 2015 New Year! Hahaha, I know this is late and we're like halfway into January already but better late than never right! :-)

Well, 2014 just went by so quickly and I think having school over this new year makes time go by 100x quicker... But nonetheless I am extremely thankful for 2014! And this is a fresh new start and for now, everything has been going good!
People say that only 10% of New Year resolutions get resolved and to be honest, I don't recall any of my 2014 resolutions.. I think setting goals is good, but lol there's obviously no point if I don't recall anything like last year. So this year, I actually wrote it down in my 2015 diary! I don't know if it's achievable or whether it's really going to work, but I want to impact my youth. It's not really starting a revolution, but to really get the community to start doing something for each other, and hopefully to let this love for serving spread! This year, the theme for YF is 'Jesus at the centre', so I'm really praying that this year will be the year I put Jesus in the centre, not to fix a spot for Him but to desire His presence such that He naturally comes into my life in my decision-making etc! I'm going to try inviting at least 1 friend to YF, and hopefully this friend (idk who yet) will end up staying! And a smaller goal would be to get my driver's license HAHAHA!
So all in all, I really pray that 2015 will be the year of seeking His presence above everything else and to serve with love and infect others with this love and burden to do something for others! Pray that I can also start thinking of what areas to serve in outside because I'm planning to do a personal project on service but I'm still unsure yet...

Well moving on to a less 'heavy' topic, ZW turned 20 last Sunday! Oh my, all the guys are turning 20 this year and it's honestly TOO FAST! I still remember sitting in front of the twins during service when I was 10 years old, and now 10 years later everyone is going to the army or are already in the army.. Also finished my DMD assignment on Monday. Let me tell you, DMD is Digital Media Design and you have to code a website all by yourself with 6 pages with full content. This module killed me and many others a little inside and I have been emotionally scarred by it.. But thank God for helping me through it despite how crappy it looked!

It's gonna be an exciting 2015 because of my internship too! I'll be interning at a music company, which is sort of a dream job because I would have to listen to loads of music there and it's basically a cool job, I wouldn't say it's chill because there will obviously be work to complete, but I really think it's gonna be one of the coolest jobs! :-)

So for now, here's to 2015~

Hello friends! Well, camp has ended sigh pie. I definitely didn't get to experience the whole camp this year, and I do feel a little that this is a bad camp for me because I had to go back to school and still do my school work at camp. But nonetheless, it was a really good one week spent at church!

Despite a very distracted heart, I feel that this camp was a good reminder for me to realign my priorities and what Jesus really is all about. I think that's the unique thing about Christianity, because it's not a religion, it's a relationship with someone special :-) Aiming to really focus on Jesus next year and in whatever I do (be it making decisions or just going about doing stuff in my daily activities), Jesus will be number one :-)

Camps are good at making people come together and really bond more, but sadly camps are only annual affairs. Really happy there were new friends who could join us this year and they enjoyed themselves loads! Kudos to the games comm because the games were 99% safe this year haha! Oh well, I'll just let the photos talk about the fun we had at camp :-)

We're nearing the end of the school term! Just 1 more week... So how's everyone? Hope you're feeling alright and not too drained out from all the work you have to complete! Had my interview for my internship yesterday, not gonna disclose where I'm going but if you wanna know more you can always come and ask me hehe! Until I get the results then I shall write it down! I've been so exhausted with school, there's so much work I need to get completed over the holidays, and it doesn't seem much like a holiday either.. Sobs and sobs until my eyes dry out :-( But really thankful God has provided me strength and energy daily!

YF Camp is just a few days away! Kinda bumped how I'll still be having school during camp so I have to travel to and fro everyday :-( But nonetheless, CAMP!! This year's theme of camp is 'Follow Jesus' and over the previous YF comm meeting, they were talking about what it means to follow Jesus. As in, do we want YFers to follow what He did or follow His being? So for myself, I want to follow His being. To be a person who's presence is welcoming and wanted, yet isn't intimidating but is a comfort to those around. To be a person who loves the unloved and accepts everyone despite whoever they are. To go forth and spread the word and be a good testimony and preach it! I know words are just words and it's super difficult to put them to action, but I'm going to try my very best! Goal for 2015 :-)

Many things have happened (and many photos long overdued...) over the past 2 months? Monthly cafe meals with the twins, DG outing, Team Cambodia dinner at Kevin's zi-char shop (hahaha it was awesome there were like 8 courses?), Halloween-A'Levels Candy Prep for JC kids, Grandaunty + Granduncle's Ruby Anniversary and just chilling with friends at school and church~~~ Can't really remember any other events but here's the way way overdued photos!

Oh my goodness, school hasn't been a joke. I've been having at least 1 submission each week, for this week there are 2 submission on Friday and it's been exhausting, hence no updates at all here :'( I fell sick over the weekend and it was so horrible. I had to complete work but I was just so tired and didn't have any mood at all.. Sobs and cries so much~~

We had our internship preference ranking choice completed a few weeks ago, and I'm really just putting my faith in God on where I'm gonna go. I did put into consideration not to burn my weekends because I really don't wanna miss church! I'm really hoping I do get into radio, because it's really one of my top favourite modules and I enjoy talking so much haha! Radio internships won't allow us to go on air but I don't care, it'll be so awesome to get to go for events and be part of a radio station! :-)

The twins and I have just recently (like yesterday lol) been welcomed to join YF comm and be a leader in YF! It's really exciting to be a leader, but yet it scares me. I know how I always encourage my peers who are becoming leaders in their own youths, to not be afraid because of their age and not let anyone look down on them (1 Timothy 4:12). But somehow I cannot apply this verse to myself. It's like my knowledge isn't there and it's so freaky because now I'll have to make decisions for a subcomm (like the overall decision). But I'm really thankful for this opportunity because this subcomm that I'll be taking (Mercy Ministry) is kinda like CIP, but it's more like an avenue for YFers to be involved in the community while bearing in mind the purpose of it in a Christian perspective. Quite excited for next year, I do have a small plan on what I wanna do for YF through this ministry, but idk what I'm gonna do for next year... Nonetheless, change is gonna come next year and who knows, maybe change is good!

Sorry this is so so boring and full of words I cannot stand it too, but I promise I'll try to upload photos soon :( This sem is killing me I don't like to code or write I just want to sleep in bed and watch friends all day everyday~ 保重朋友们!
