Hey hey! Finally managed to squeeze in a little bit of time to write on my tempship! Really can't believe just like that, my time with Warner has come to an end! :-(
I started my internship with them back in March 2015. I've shared this story countless of times to my many friends so here goes... When the FMS kids had to choose which area they wanted to specialise in for internship, my first choice was radio followed by marketing. I was really passionate about radio at that time, and I was given the chance to go for an interview at SPH (either Kiss92 or ONEfm). I didn't make it through the interview so naturally I was rather unhappy. But shortly after, I received an email from Warner asking me for my portfolio etc. When I went down to their office for my interview, it wasn't an interview but more of a 'briefing' session! I was so happy because that made me realise that I actually got the job! It was really God leading the way and bringing me to a greater height! My time at Warner as an intern was really memorable, in ways good and bad. I struggled in the first half of internship because I wasn't good enough in terms of design and I wasn't meticulous enough in doing my daily reports. But I did have fun, started going for events and promos (eg. Charli XCX was my very first promo!). The second half was way better, I opened up more to my colleagues and I really felt myself being a part of the WMS fam! Having to leave at that time wasn't so hard but I was definitely sad, and so my internship ended in August 2015.
Fast forward to June 2016, I received a text from my boss Daph asking me for a favour. As I was also looking around for jobs related to my Diploma at that time (after my freak job at Taitra & long Shihlin hours), obviously I jumped on the opportunity and asked if the temp slot was available. I really believe that God's timing is perfect because the then-temp was gonna leave to start Uni so #cheryltheintern got her place back at Warner! It was really funny coming back to office as a temp, but this journey has been one hella ride! In a way, I kinda levelled up and had a hand at writing press releases, talking directly to the media & took charge of more things such as servicing music to radio. With Daph leaving WMS around early Oct, it meant that Mel was left with me & 2 other interns so I had to take on more responsibilities. But this definitely made me more confident and I've applied my school knowledge in daily work so that was awesome! With a sorta-smaller team, naturally I got closer to Mel and I could not have been more thankful for this! Got to know her better over the past few months and found out we've actually got quite a bit in common! Getting to know Rickie (1 of the interns) has also been one of the perks of tempship! She has been a close friend of mine, someone I confided in when work was such a pain in the butt at times, and just an absolute joy to work with!
Got to meet a couple of music artistes as well (MAJOR PERKSSS) this time round; Nathan Hartono, iNCH, Tegan & Sara, Birdy, Charlie Puth, Brendon Urie, Simple Plan and it all ended off with Charli XCX once again! So in a way, I guess you could say I've come full circle! Started and ended my time with WMS with Charli so the circle of Warner is complete hahaha! I'm really going to miss the vibrant environment in Warner and I don't know whether I'll find nice bosses in my future jobs... But I've really enjoyed my one year stint in this company and I'm truly very grateful to have been given the opportunity to intern here at the very beginning! Thanks Warner for all the fond memories, you'll be one of the best jobs I ever took on! #cheryltheintern signing out!
PS, I'll upload photos when I get the time, see ya!

june happenings (sorta)
It's a very special month woohoo, because someone turned 20 on 20th June! Yup that's right, I'm finally 2 decades old! Okay, more on my birthday later on but on with my stories of the month!
1. Work
Ok so by now, you guys should have read my post on my May work experiences and my latest job is at Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy working there. But it's gotten to a point where I'm tired of it. Yes, I meet people and talk to them, familiar faces when I'm lucky and even befriend certain customers who come by everyday just to get a pack of chicken/sweet potato fries/tempura (like this particular aunty/FitnessFirst employees), but I'm tired. It's mundane, doing cashiering and shouting orders, packing meesua, making sure I get orders right. So I've come to a point where I've decided: Goodbye Shihlin. The people haven't been easy, because they always ask me to smoke (?!?! I hate it so badly & they keep asking me to do so..), but they've been really nice too lah! Gonna work till the end of June then it's bye bye chicken and meesua... By the way, you may think I've gained weight by eating all those fried food, but strangely I've lost weight during over time! It's probably due to all those standing but seriously, couldn't be happier man!
After STSS, I'll be heading back to Warner woohoo! It was one of the highlights over my poly life, so I'm pretty thankful I'll have another opportunity to work there again! There are going to be quite a couple of acts coming up over the next few months, so it's definitely going to be an exciting time!
2. BSC Camp + Sisters' Retreat
After 2 years, the bi-annual church camp finally came! Sighs, really missing church camp again. Just miss those carefree holiday days and spending time with my favourite people on earth!
This year's camp was held in Batu Pahat, about a 2h drive up so it was not too bad! Unlike the previous camp, Batu Pahat is a quiet town so we didn't really have lots of sightseeing to do. The hotel is pretty decent. Well, when you have your whole church at one location, it just feels like home & it's cosy! Plus, nothing beats seeing your friends for like 5 days straight! The theme for the camp was: Know, Show Glow - I would say that this theme is simple to understand and pretty straightforward! Knowing God is something that all of us know. For me, growing up in a Christian family made me feel as though I had to be extremely knowledgable about the Bible and all about God! But through my years of growing up in church, it seemed like I was in a 'reversed' situation where I felt I wasn't growing much to be honest, and it was only over the past few years when I really saw myself growing and understanding more about God's word! I think being a DGL now helps me even more in this aspect because I've gotta internalise stuff even more now to teach my girls!
Was part of the games committee again this year, and it's really nerve-wrecking because I do feel that there is a certain standard set for games already. In 2014, the games feedback were great! Adults enjoyed them and in certain ways, they were age-friendly! I think many people enjoyed themselves greatly and it just set off an even greater pressure to maintain the high standards! Thankfully, the games went equally awesome this year, and I enjoyed every single bit of it (video-making for games, planning at houses which just ends up with us watching TV LOL), planning overnight during camp itself and ending up watching TV in the twins' room LOL and just being a part of this knowing that God has given us wisdom and fresh ideas to plan games! :-)
Was glad to have spent my time with -SISTERS ONLY- (hehe) at SR! Rosey was our speaker and she gave very good examples of walking with God! Sorry, couldn't really remember the theme, but it was along the lines of trusting God despite all the distractions in the world! Thought she gave a very practical illustration and thought us Bible stories with simple activities. 1) She made us go through activities to 'symbolise' what the Israelites went through in the past. 2) She poured toys all over the floor and we had to partner up and one partner was blindfolded, with the other trying to get guide the other. Oh man, that was chaotic because everyone was shouting for their partner to cross and the aim of the activity was to remind us that in life, we'll only follow the one who calls out to us, we'll only recognise 1 voice and that voice will be God amidst all the other distractions! :-)
3. Turning the big 2-0!
I am officially 2-0. 2, 2, 2-0. I am upset. I am old now. Hahaha! Well in all seriousness, it's been great turning 2-0! You don't change much obviously, apart from the fact that I somehow get super tired easily nowadays? Old people syndrome LOL! Spent the pre-birthday weekend celebrating with my family and Joe's family. Had a simple steamboat dinner at my place, and truly this small yearly affair is something I deeply treasure. Really think that a huge part to play for this yearly gathering because of Joe+I, but not complaining because both families have shown me so much love over my many years of growing up!
Having my own DG-lings to take care of starting this year meant that birthday celebrations were more common. I honestly did not expect my girls to surprise me but here's how the story went: Sunday. I was just chilling by the worship practise area, that's pretty much my usual spot to chill before worship starts when my girls came up to me with this really cute dachshund balloon! It could walk and all, it was super cute! Don't know how they know I really love dachshunds but yes, thanks to them, I finally got one haha! Decided to have lunch with them as well since they wanted to celebrate my birthday. So before heading to the restaurant, I had to run an errand. Girls all claimed they had to use the washroom, I thought well, girls ALWAYS use the washroom together for some reason so there wasn't anything suspicious about that. After meeting them back at the restaurant, we just got our food and chatted over our meal. Suddenly, Eunice had to use the restroom again, I figured she had to wash her hands, and so she left. But shortly after she left, she came back and rummaged through her bag. I thought she had to take like tissue or something, and Shauna somehow had to also use the washroom. Up till this point, I was still completely oblivious. After 'coming back from the washroom', the girls popped a slice of cake out of nowhere and started singing happy birthday hahaha! It was truly a surprise to this blur me, and since it's ME, i made the whole DG sing happy birthday really loudly hahaha! I was also really blessed by the sisters in the youth because we all celebrated my special day together!
I do feel that with year as I turn older, the responsibilities that I have to face just grow bigger. Even I find that I myself am changing! I feel the need to be more independent now, not to give my parents so much burden (financially), to be more matured and a better role model for younger girls and I think it's time to grow up :-( But then again, I truly thank God for everything! I'm not one who needs a huge party with the whole neighbourhood down, just give me people whom I really hold very dear to my heart and that satisfies me! I know I say this way too much, but really, I AM BLESSED! You have no idea how fortunate I am and how richly God has blessed me - with a good Christian family (blood-related and church), friends, so many amazing experiences so far and well, the list goes on!

Alright, I'm just posting this post up now in November because I'm gonna try to start a new post very soon with the updated happenings the past few months! And I'll be sure to add in photos to this post so stay tuned for more updates! xx

may day
Yo yo my friends! Time's passing by too quickly, we're already halfway through May! Much has happened over the past few weeks since the previous post! (PS, this was supposed to be posted end of May but #procrastination hehe)
1. Joe's Surprise Party
Decided to throw Joe a very belated surprise birthday party, simply because he deserves one and I absolutely love him! Over April, he was feeling kinda down because he had to stay in for his birthday and could not come out much during weekends (most bookout schedules: sunday morning out, sunday night in). He most definitely wanted his own party, considering how his brother had one himself. So, me being me, I decided to put things together and gather his close friends for a simple get-together!
Started getting some of his friends together with Zuzu about a month back and we had to book them way in advance because everyone's super busy these days! It wasn't easy planning because Joe's schedule was super erratic! Sometimes, he could be out on a Saturday and then the following week he could be confined.. After all the changes, we decided to put it during the Labour Day weekend and just had to pray that he won't get confined! Thankfully his full schedule before the Brunei trip came out shortly after that so we could confirm that he would be free that Sunday night!
Over the course of April, it was super hard to keep a secret. It was a.g.o.n.i.s.i.n.g! Joe was pretty upset/angry at times and we would get into quarrels and I just felt like telling him that we were throwing a party for him so stop being so angry. But, patience. Sucked it all in, because I knew it would be worth it! The party was at Donovan's place, and I was really glad to see how the surprise turned out! Spent the whole afternoon just going around collecting/buying party stuff and heading to Nat's place with Jasmine to chill and watch movies before heading to the venue to prep!
When Joe came, he was really surprised to see all his friends and honestly, my heart was filled with so much happiness for him that night! :-) I didn't get much time with him that night, and yeah I was a lil' upset but nothing beats knowing how everything was done well so that he could get something he wanted! Plus, I've spent every birthday with him since he was 13? It's been a good 9 years of celebrating and I'm pretty sure I'll be spending the rest of his birthdays with him HAHAHA CHEHHHH #thickskin. Blessed 21st birthday Joe, you deserved it! :-)
2. Work
Decided to stop working with Cityluxe sometime in early May. I really had fun working in Taka, because I got to meet a lot of people (staff & customers). Must say that the Taka staff were the people who really got me going to work each day, and made me look forward to working there! It's kinda mundane because everyday customers just walk by and sometimes they aren't even interested to buy. Time also passes really slowly for some reason, but once it hits 7pm THAT'S IT, time is on a roll baby! Thank God I managed to share my Christian life (a small bit of it, and how I view Christianity more of a relationship with God than a religion) with some colleagues there! I've met all kinds of people there, but I'm glad I still keep in touch with a few of them & I do hope that I'll continue to keep in touch with them! :-)
After my stint at Cityluxe/Woodwick, I decided to try an admin job at Taiwan Trade Centre (recommended by my friend). She said it was a little dodgy because there were some internal politics (& come to think of it, I am ashamed and didn't really reflect God in my attitude when I was there because it was all gossip blah blah..). But WOW this job was the shortest stint EVER. Recommended Sarah to work there since she had nothing to do and decided to join her after the candle job. It was a really chill job, I must say, because it was just data entry/calling companies. Other than that, my time was spent surfing the net/playing games/talking to Sarah HAHAHA plus the pay was good so woohoo! BUT after the 2nd day of work, I was told that the company was not going to hire anymore temp staff due to their lack of budget. I was utterly stunned because I had only worked for 2 days and my last day was the following day at an event. The work ethics that some of the staff had were just purely horrible. To be honest, I was kinda bumped when I had to be retrenched from that job because the pay was really good & it was a slack job (things teens look out for in jobs nowadays..). But come to think of it, I'm glad it ended because the office was pretty far away and I think staying in that company would have made me become much more of a gossipmonger & I'm pretty sure I would definitely not have grown to be more Christ-like over there!
I was pretty bumped that my job at TTC ended because the pay was good for an admin job! $8/h doing pretty much minimal work! But really thank God that this unemployment didn't last long because not long after, I was given a chance to work at Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks! All this is thanks to MelChew, who started working there before I & Sarah decided to join the STSS BSC club haha! So, I chose to work at the AMK Hub outlet (duh), & I seriously save on transport because I walk there whenever I work. Also, as employees we get to choose 2 items on the menu daily! This is a huge savings part for me too, because I save on lunch-dinner! I work Tuesdays-Thursdays from 1.30pm-10pm, well technically it's till about 10.15/1020pm because there's clean up. So yup, that's my life at STSS, so far so good! I've tried everything except the crepe floss/sausage, should definitely try it before I quit hehe!
3. Graduation!!
So, guess who has graduated from poly? ME! Over the past few months, I've been either working/slacking at home doing nothing much. I don't really like going out nowadays because bus/mrt fares are so expensive?! Plus, going out = spending money, so no thanks! To be honest, schooling life is way easier. It was definitely an eventful day I looked forward to, going back to school, meeting friends + teachers once again, to receive my graduation cert and take many pretty photos in my grad gown haha!
Looking back, my poly life has been extremely fulfilling! There were times when I detested school, and some assignments just made me want to rip my hair out and to be honest, I could get really agitated at group projects. I've cried pretty much at least once in each group project (the iconic one: being placed in a group with a particular person that EVERYONE ELSE did not want to be with, which was quite bad...) but there were those group projects that got me looking forward to completing work eg. Y1's coding module with hipsters, Events Mgt for Light Up A Life. Huge thanks to my lecturers at NP FMS as well, who have guided me & taught me valuable life lessons. I'm closer to some of them, and it really touches me knowing they still remember my name despite teaching me about 2 years ago & bother to ask about my life! Big BIG shoutout to the company who were a part of me the past 3 years (& hopefully will be in the years to come too)! I think it's needless to explain how much each of them mean to me and how very grateful I am to each of them :-) So, presenting to you, the not-so-complete class of 2016! Or in this case, cheryl's version of the class of 2016, we did it friends!
4. PL Ebenezer Funfair
PL turns 100! Managed to head down for this event and boy was it crowded! It was not just full of PL girls, but I noticed boys from other schools also came? Honestly, I've noticed that funfairs are usually a time for single-gender school students to come and mingle and widen their circle (if you know what I mean...). Anyway, it was definitely a fun time for everyone! Didn't take any rides because they were way too expensive & we were kinda on a budget! So we just spent our money on food HAHAHA! I think we've come to the age where all we wanna spend our money on are for food + clothes! It was surely a great time catching up with the girls, not A LOT because we were being our crazy self and laughing at good memories but who cares? The company mattered the most!
Well, all in all, the month of May has just been pretty much occupied with work and trying to find jobs after quitting/being retrenched, and obviously graduating from school and revisiting my secondary school were highlights! Thank God for how He has provided me with different kinds of jobs so that I'm able to experience a small variety of industries such as retail/admin/f&b within this short span of time! The month of June is going to be a busy busy month, so stay tuned to find out more! See ya~~

love how everyone's so unprepared but yay :-)
games comm swag
So, May was kinda upsetting for me. With all the downs of work (as you read on below...), it couldn't have gotten worse knowing that Joe would be away for 24 days!?!? That's over 3 weeks of not seeing to him/having bad connections while talking to him. Looking back, I managed to only talk with him for less than 10 minutes over the course of those few weeks.
headed to adventure cove one day during his off-in-lieu! i love water theme parks :-)
Before his Brunei training trip, there was this family day where we could head in to take a look at what would be happening during the trip and I must say, it's quite a sight! Those guys had to kill quails FOR THEIR SURVIVAL in Brunei and there were live demonstrations on how to do it. Girls, just be very thankful you're not a guy because I don't think I would be able to survive all those cutting and carving of wood or trekking up and down mountains!
And so, it was the start of 3 long weeks of VERY MINIMAL replies... Slay them soldier, you'll get your JCC badge!

Or in this case, cheryl's version of the class of 2016, we did it friends!
fms showcase 2016 w my favvvv teacher!
that lifebuoy can't fit through his big head
Mr Hsien - ciesta all day everyday!
Mr Yoka - radio production teacher!
Mr Ramani, or as I call him Mr Rams - taught me feature writing & that a high GPA doesn't matter if the industry doesn't want people with no character
Simatupang - logs saikang warrior
fsv cambodia minus me duh
events management team not full strength obviously
megan & xiong - 2 individuals who played a big part in my final sem, & started my poly life in sem 1 on a high note too! :-)
yuyan & trini
geena-si - since pl 2011, man we are golden and prolly also through the next few years of uni life
team pl-np :-)
boon - huge THANKSSS to this uncle, actually surprised we got through 3 years of dealing with each other's nonsense? he really understood the way i functioned, how he knew he just needed to leave me to cry when i was stressed out & made me laugh my butt off when he made comments about stuff (oops). very thankful we grew so close over the past few years, & i'll definitely not forget our gang giving him the best birthday (surprising him at his place with a mahjong table) and also the worst hated birthday (dinner at saizeriya) hehehe ;-)
xiong - 1st person to always ask me to print notes for him & chope seat in class, intro-ed us to the wonderful smu pasta & laughed at my studying methods of literally scribbling on paper while studying for exams! always asking me if he looks good & could probably be the most vain person i ever know! he'll be the one who pops into my mind (along with boon) when i hear '4 hao' outside (inside joke). but also ultra THANKFUL for this guy, kept me insane the 3 years!
kiang - my singing partner, coming up with random song+games such as our mulan game just to entertain ourselves?! won't forget that night in cambo when he really opened himself up to us & i've never been more thankful for that night ever since! anyone who needs a designer for events, please contact him @kjdaryl online because this guy is talented! prolly will also engage his designing services when i get married next time too hehehe! THANKS for filling my heart with music :-)
chung - gained a sis in poly, so glad we live near each other cos it means we get to meet up without the guys and have girl time! my 3 years with her were filled with so SO much girl talk i won't know who else to turn to for comfort! watched her grow & watched her hair change to all the colours of the rainbow! we're definitely going to grow old together with our 40 cats in our big bungalow, & also watch out for us, we're heading to hawaii for our grad trip! :-)
hipsters since 2013
joe - hehehe he made it for my grad, like 3hs earlier? haha! came with me to take a photo in my gown after his uni interview, & i'm honestly glad to be standing here with him at the end of my poly life! i think poly hasn't been easy for the both of us, there's definitely LOADS of anger involved but hey look at us now, we looking fineeee~~ THANKS for being by me all this time! :-) (next hurdle, uni together and then we stuck together till the end of time)
supportive family - needless to say, they have been so supportive! supporting me through my daily expenses, sending me to/fro school, encouraging me, listening to my rants/stories about school & friends, enduring my mood swings, well the list goes on! i know they must have been very proud of me that day, and I hope that i can make them happy once again after i complete my uni! :-)
See ya~~

live life updates
Hello again! *WARNING* The following post may be a long one because it's going to be updates on the past few months!
1. #gcsescapes to Bangkok!
I had my first ever grad trip with Geena & Serene in March! Just wanna thank God firstly for blessing us pre-trip and during the trip! Before our trip, we were searching around for budget hotels and airlines. Everyone assumes that budget airlines are the cheapest but NO! We took Singapore Airlines and their price was almost the same as JetStar's price! It included a full-service carrier with meals and 30kg luggage! JetStar didn't provide meals and their baggage weight was only limited to 7kg (if I'm not wrong) and if you wanted to add extra baggage weight, you had to pay extra! So thanks to that amazing promotion that SQ had we were able to experience a good flight! Plus, how can you go wrong with SQ! :-) We decided to stay at a budget hotel also, considering how we were just students and had to scrimp on our accommodation! We found LemonTea Hotel and it's a really decent hotel!
Didn't capture all the food adventures but I did take some videos so you guys can watch the video once I'm done (or start) on it hahaha! This trip, we took on Chatuchak twice, and surprisingly we managed to see the section where all the animals were! The puppies were the most adorable things there, I really wish I could just bring all of them back to Singapore!! Decided to explore taking the tuktuk too and I must say it's cheap~~ Well, apart from the time when we got conned -.- Wanted to go to the 1st rod fai night market and the guy ended up bringing us to the 2nd one instead, like a hello, we could easily take a train there, so that experience was a bad one. But other than that, our other tuktuk rides were really fun! NTS, please bring masks and sunglasses whenever you take the tuktuk again, the exhaust fumes are so bad?! Another huge favourite of ours is Platinum obviously!
2. Charlie Wing Social Night
Before I continue, just wanna officially introduce you to a person that has been an integral part of my life since 2009 but is someone I'm very proud to call my very own boyfriend (which means no sharing which means you girls who think you can get near him, just siam cos I'll be seriously pissed off with you) from now on and he's none other than Joseph Wong~ You've seen him in many of my photos, he's part of my church gang and we've been the best of friends since 2009! We officially got together on 1 January 2016, but aiya we've been so close before that anyway hahaha! He's been someone that really means the world to me, he knows me inside and out all my mood-swings facial expressions, and he has an amazing love for God (important factor peopleee)!
He definitely fought hard during BMT and his sergeants/officers/superiors could tell too and with that, he got posted to OCS! That was his dream, well either that or SCS. I am so proud of how far he has come! 4 months in BMT is no joke, and now he's 3 months into OCS! It's tough on him, sometimes the stories he tells me about how tough training is makes me wanna really help him get through it eg. carry his bagpack when he's simply too tired or just push him across some wall to complete his obstacles! But the brave soldier fights on and perseveres through the physical/mental trauma & that's what makes me so darn proud of him because he just proves to everyone that he is strong!
I really thank God so much for being by his side since the beginning of army! He has given Joe strength daily through trainings and with the Holy Spirit, He also gives peace to him :-) Joe's verse that he holds onto deeply is Jeremiah 29:11, and this verse has guided him through his decision-making and I am so happy that he still remains rooted in Christ despite the army lifestyle! Do continue praying for Joe to be grounded firm in Him even in OCS and also for us to trust that God works before us and that we can learn to put Christ before ourselves!
A huge thing I was greatly looking forward to was Social Night! Seeing other friends going for their friends/boyfriend's social night made me jealous, obviously.. They got to dress up and go for a pretty dinner with flowers etc. I know I'm not the girliest girl around, but I definitely won't hesitate if I had the chance to go for one! So when Joe got into OCS, I knew I had the chance to go for it hehe! It was a night both of us, I dare safely say, looked forward to! True, we were nervous because it was our first time going for such an event together but it was magical! Sneaky boy came to my place with a bouquet of baby breath flowers wrapped in a light shade of blue, & my dad had to spoil the surprise by telling Joe 'nice flowers behind your back' even before he gave them to me -.- After that, we headed off to Temasek Club where there were so many couples! Met Joe's good friend, David & his girlfriend Tiveyaah and I'm super happy I managed to hit it off with Tiveyaah! :-)
The night started young with some photo-taking and we had a buffet dinner nomzzz! Some cadets then proceeded with their dance performance, which turned into some surprise that got all the cadets to put on corsages for their dates as a way to thank their dates for coming! At that moment, it was really one of the sweetest things Joe ever did for me hahaha! We weren't those exceptionally sweet couples who loved to whisper sweet nothings to each other all they, we were contented with our simple lives so even though it was compulsory for them to do so, I felt really special at that point hehehe :-) So moving on, more performances and ooh games was pretty fun! Then there came dance. I must admit, I was super duper nervous about it. I've never ever danced before in public, well at least not like those kind of slow dances, usually it's just goofy dances with my friends.. But thankfully they played the 'Macarena' before the slow dance to kind of warm things up! Then came the time for all couples to sway to the beats of Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud'. It was hilarious though, some guys were like 'oh when's this going to end' and then when the song ended everyone clapped, only to realise the next song was still a slow one! The night ended on a high note, everyone being happy and merry, we all took more photos and it was really a lovely night :-)
Lo and behold, a group of friends whom I treasure dearly are turning/have turned 21 this year! Our dearest Zuzu turned 21 in January and we decided to surprise him with a ticket to catch the F1 race in September! He's a HUGE FAN of racing cars and he's been following F1 for I-don't-know how many years, so you can imagine the amount of surprise he had on his face when he saw it! Decided to make him a fake one for now, because the real ticket would only arrive sometime later in the year haha! But it was one cool ticket! :-)
The twins just turned 21 a couple of days back, but they had a simple gathering a few weeks ago to celebrate their turning into adulthood! Looking back, 7+/8 years of friendship doesn't seem really long but we've surely gone through quite a bit as siblings in Christ! Ben has been the elder brother I never had and like older siblings, he's someone I look up to! To see him turn into a guy with a huge heart for Christ and to see his desire to want to share God's word and love to others is something that I really admire~ It's always a joy to see your friends grow up to become fine young men and I'm so proud that these 2 brothers have achieved that! Over the years of our friendship, we have gone through (as cliche as it sounds) thick and thin, heap loads of unhappiness but a ton more of excitement and love shared! They are my favourite pair of twins and will always be :-)

iconic 'goodbye SG' photo
we had the pleasure of some good company who came to send us off on our very short trip haha!
now it's really goodbye SG!
Upon arrival in +66, we made our way to our hotel via the train! Let me just share with you how exceptionally convenient it is for tourists to take the train instead of cab. You don't have to wait in jams, which equates to spending more money since the meter will be running. Plus the train is really efficient and did I mention, quick? Being freshly-graduated students, we had to scrimp on accommodation as well so we couldn't afford the usual hotels our parents stayed in. We bunked at Lemontea Hotel located near the Pratunam area, and it is super affordable, only around SGD$20+ per night! Because this is a hotel we weren't familiar with at all, we got lost and walked for about 20-30 mins trying to find it! We ended up walking into some local neighbourhood, even all the aunties/uncles/locals were staring at us haha! Tip: when you're lost & need to find a way out, snap a photo first for memories' sake!
Initially, we did plan to do some sightseeing like go to the theme park and zoo, but girls being girls, shopping was a #1 priority in Bangkok! It's just the best to go shopping with girls, particularly Geena, because we have similar tastes! We decided to head to shops together because buy more get wholesale price ;) hahha!
geena was raving on and on about this wanton mee, which costs us 100baht per bowl, not worth it at all...
we had this bowl of tomyum noodles after the wanton noodles for lunch, 60baht per bowl,
WORTH IT + SUPER DELICIOUSSS
WORTH IT + SUPER DELICIOUSSS
one can never go wrong with thai milk tea
sort of the shihlin equivalent
phad thai at rod fai night market
20baht passionfruit juice
rice bowl outside platinum fashion mall
150baht = SGD$6 mookata buffet!
not worth it A&W at all

you get a free cup of lemontea after you upload a photo and tag their hotel! plus it's really good lemontea :-)
chatuchak day 1
40baht ice milk tea, can't go wrong with that
these poor doggies are mix bred, probably with lions because they're HUMONGOUS but so adorable!!
pretty diffuser
chatuchak park!
9pm dinner at siam paragon udon shop
when we tried rompers in the hotel after a day of shopping
street food time!
tuktuk adventure time!
last morning chiong-time to Platinum for the last time!
checked in, goodbye bkk meh sg
PS, Serene got called by the airport staff because she checked in her powerbank and she didn't believe she got called!
All in all, there were some bad moments in the trip when we got annoyed with each other. It was bound to happen, since it was our first time travelling together and we weren't sure about each other's "systems". I admit, I did get annoyed when someone had her indecisive moment/some just wanted a late morning wake-up call, but this trip was definitely a memorable one! We had so much fun laughing at Geena's bimbo talk, eg. (her to the shop attendant) "do you know if other shop sells this design?" Like yo girl, obviously the shop attendant is going to say no because they want to have your business and not give their business opportunity away?? Can't forget Serene's daily diarrhoea problems because she can't take street food! Meeting some fellow Singaporeans were also a fun experience, because we were all complaining about how small the portion of the 100baht wanton mee was haha! This was my first grad trip with them, and I do hope it won't be the last because they are really chillax people to travel with! #gcsescapes to next location? ;-)2. Charlie Wing Social Night

bmt graduation
ocs open house
From the start of his BMT life, I've seen him change - for the worse (because he says vulgarities off and on and it annoys me so much) but way more for the better! His views on life have changed, he's been more humble and I can tell that the way he interacts with people is somewhat different in a good way too!He definitely fought hard during BMT and his sergeants/officers/superiors could tell too and with that, he got posted to OCS! That was his dream, well either that or SCS. I am so proud of how far he has come! 4 months in BMT is no joke, and now he's 3 months into OCS! photobooth! don't we look so prettyyy~~
After all the glam and glitz, we decided to head out for supper! It was my first time meeting his friends and I definitely wanted to get to know more about them and that was one decision I never regretted! It was a real fun night just laughing our butts off and his friends are a bunch of friends I hope he'll always have close friendships with! Thoroughly enjoyed that late night supper at Prata House where 14 people squeezed into 2 tables hahaha! Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet them soon!
look at the pretty baby breath flowers! i then proceeded to take a ton of selfies after this hahaha
3. The year of 21sts!Lo and behold, a group of friends whom I treasure dearly are turning/have turned 21 this year! 4. #987TakingOneForTheTeam
Guess who won some places to a live web chat with Simple Plan? YAS GURL DAS ME! Warner had some contest on Instagram that actually got fans to re-create the band's latest album cover so being a loyal Warner supporter, I decided to chip in and do a version of the cover!
Okay the image is super blur but you get what I was trying to do right, if not just go google the band's latest album cover and you'll understand! And obviously, I won too hahaha!
To be honest, I was more excited to meet Geena & Leonard for dinner and catch up with them than go for the live chat. I'm not a huge fan of the band, I've heard a couple of songs and they're not too bad so I was just 'meh' about it. But I was wrong. When the band came on Skype, I was really really excited hahaha! It was just super cool to get to interact with international celebrities! *cue the memories when I helped manage artistes for concerts at Warner* Managed to also ask a question so yay, I sorta made an impression on them! We got to bring home some merch too, and I also won a signed CD! It was a really cool night, plus I got to meet my Warner supervisors again!
not everyone can get to say "I've got a selfie with Simple Plan!"
A year ago I was their intern, how time flies! :')
#5. Random Holiday Moments
This holiday is way better than the holidays after O's! I've been waking up around close to 10am almost everyday and I laze around in bed for about 1h and basically, my life is so chill now! Somedays I'll head out to meet up with friends and I'm so glad now I've got much more time to catch up with people!

I guess this absolutely long post has finally come to an end! If you've endured through this long post and read my stories/life happenings, good for you! I think such stories of mine are memories that I hold dearly to my heart and these are people that have made a mark in my life. It doesn't matter if we don't see each other as often as we did, but the fact still remains; that our paths crossed once & those paths will always continue crossing!
Some people, or majority of bloggers, write blogs with fancy words & loads of flowery language. Unfortunately, you won't see that in my blog because I treat my page like a diary. The purpose of this blog is for me to keep track of the things that happened in my life and hopefully in the future, I'll be able to show this to my children and they can seem how blessed I have been! This page is definitely for you all to be a part of my journey growing up as well, so yup! Hopefully I'll try my best to keep updating this page! See ya~~
