HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR (eve) EVERYONE! Feeling kinda low despite this being a festive occasion, maybe it's because I don't get to celebrate special occasions in school anymore and because I have tons of work to complete even during this period. I'm so exhausted already :(

Well, the past few nights have been spent at Chinatown taking photos of the night market. It was my first time going there during CNY and I'm surprised I actually enjoyed myself despite the crowds and shouting, considering the fact that I do have a little claustrophobia. Thanks Brennan and ZW for being my models for this assignment hah! :)

So anyway yesterday night I went to stay over at my friend's place. And guess what? We attempted to walk home from Chinatown to Bukit Batok. If you go check the MRT lines, you will realise we are insane. I think we walked for a good 2 hours, but sadly didn't complete the entire journey back home by foot. By the time we hit Bukit Timah we were so exhausted we just flagged a taxi haha! It was really a memorable night walking with them 'aimlessly' and hoping we can all complete the journey together. Needless to say, sleepovers are also the best times to bond :) It was so good to wake up extremely late and slowly nua around before having a reunion lunch with them at the coffee shop hah!

Well, next few days will be spent travelling around visiting and studying (boooo life of a poly kid) and I am already very sleepy. Happy holidays ^^

What up friends! We're 5 days away from CNY! Looking forward to all the catchups with extended families and friends! And we cannot CANNOT forget all the bak kwa, pineapple tarts, love letters etc etc ok I'm starting to drool heh! Had early reunion dinner+lunch this weekend with my small extended families, and I must say even though at times I do feel sad because my family is really small, but I guess it's awesome being in this small homey tribe (hahahaha) because we all get to talk to each other and we are close to one another!

This weekend has been a tiring weekend, wait correction, the past week has been HELL WEEK. Not sure if the other students feel the same way, but I am terribly exhausted from the past week and the nights used staying up to complete assignments have resulted in horrible pimples. So disgusting I'm praying it all goes off by CNY! Nonetheless I'm really thankful to Jesus for bringing me through the week! Some nights i stay up cashing in my bad luck (lol bad joke) were really bad, because I'm the kind of person who sleeps early like 10-11+ but since this week was the week to rush assignments (especially for writcom) I had to sleep at 2am, can die ok! My eyebags are so horrible now, it's getting from bad to worse :( God does bless us (or me) when He sees our efforts the hard work we put in, and I am very thankful for the devos daily that are miraculously apt somehow each day no kidding! ^^

Everyone always says TGIF because it's the end of the schooling/work week but I TGIF because I really look forward to seeing my fellow youth every weekend! Weekends for me is completely set aside for church. Youth fellowship, Sunday service, Sunday school, basically just chilling with them and it's just that indescribable feeling when you really bond with your bros and sis' in Christ! :) This year, I got asked to serve in 2 ministries in youth - 1 of them being Mercy (it's like a CIP kind of ministry) and the other is Sisters' Retreat. Then I was casually approached by my other friend to help in the church camp Games' Comm... Initially I didn't know if I should serve for SR/Games because I'll be in my 2nd poly year and I'm foreseeing a hectic year ahead and I'm scared I cannot commit fully. But I remember, that it is a BLESSING TO SERVE! When God sees our true motives behind what we do, I'm pretty sure He will help us through them. So, I am actually pretty excited to start planning for the upcoming events, even if it means I'm gonna be busier and more tired..

Colossians 3:17 - And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Hello friends! Oh my goodness, it's been so hectic the past few weeks and it's not gonna get any better in the weeks to come! :( How has things been? Hopefully everyone has been alright despite the stress in school and we're at least drifting by hah~~~

I think going back to school has been awesome! Call me strange, or incoherent for that matter (ok inside joke..), but I really enjoy school! Though there is a whole lot of work and assignments to complete (I FINALLY COMPLETED MY WRITING LAB THE JOY!), I enjoy doing them and I must say a huge part is because of my friends. Guess they really help me to get by each day and encourage me to not give up and I'm really thankful for them! :)

Assignment-check, what's left to do so far: Final essay (research paper 1k words siao liao), Photography Assignment (which is gonna be interesting since it's on night markets), WebGra project and a Dreamweaver+Photoshop test (ARGH), Filming for final project, Medsoc exam during CNY period and other minor things which I can't recall now. Tired!! Went to Claudia's house to do LocVid yesterday, and it was so heartbreaking to scrape our original story which we've been planning and even met up to discuss a few times :( but I'm glad our new story is even better and hopefully the teacher will approve it! :) Super fun staying over at her place (it's like some hotel apartment :o), even though we didn't manage to play dance central and the pool closed early so we couldn't go swimming but well, all stayovers are exciting! ^^

Finally had time to meet up with this girl recently, miss her so much! The last time I met her was so many months ago and now we've (or she's) got the time to meet up and chat! Hopefully she'll get into NP with my other kiddo :) 

and she came to NP to visit me! 

Surprised Boon at his house last week after lecture, he believed all our lies and excuses on what we'll be doing after lecture, which made the whole surprise successful! Thanks Boon for being that friend I can count on and for bringing loads of laughter to all of us and for being so old and wise. You will be the mahjong king with this table we got you! 

Okay, so as you can tell my life has been quite happening... But on a serious note, just wanna share a testimony :) So, last week I found out who were the people who got into my school's Dean's List (all those smarty pants) and I did feel discouraged and I also had this terrible test then went horrible last Friday so overall that day I felt like crap, but that night I did a devotion and it spoke on how we are already blessed. We can expect to prosper because we're already rich in Christ and it's just a matter of time before He shows us what He has in store! ALSO, last week I wasn't feeling too well and I recalled my friend telling me how Satan kinda 'oppresses' us and makes us feel worse (in terms of sickness like if we think we're sick we will be worser) but coincidentally (or is it?) that night my devo said Satan will come to those who don't have the Lion of Judah with them, but since we realise that we're covered with His precious blood, God declares we are protected and healed! So yeah, I've been doing my QT diligently and I believe the devos each day don't coincidentally match what I'm going through/thinking about, but it's really God speaking to me! :) EXCITING TIMES~~~ 

Ok, guess I should go back to doing some work... I need more inspiration Lord help me!! Haha, take care guys it's pretty windy and chilly recently! (Singapore will snow someday...) See you ^^

Hehe yup blessed 2014 everyone! It's only been 6 days into the new year but so far everything is going really well! Spent 1 Jan in church playing Just Dance into the night with the youths haha, and went for a midnight stroll to find supper too! It's just awesome spending the very first day of the new year in church with a community I really love and care about :) 

So far, I think I've just been spending my new year doing digpho, hmm, it's good but at the same time bad lah because it's not the best way to start the new year (doing assignment *faints*). Glad that before the holidays ended, I could finally meet up with my friends as a whole group to end the holiday! Really missed them :( Went cycling at ECP and sun-tanned at the beach, I LOVE THE SUN AND THE SUN LOVES ME! Got tan again yippee and now I'm still a little red.

So the fight for who boards the 74 bus starts today once more. Heading back to school is meh hahaha! Not exactly in the happiest mood to go to school because of the crowds (I hate it so much) and the long queues during lunch period and the jostling to get up the bus during peak periods... However, really happy to be back in school! Get to see all my friends again hehe ^^ Final 2 months of being a Y1 student :o Time passing too quickly! I feel like I'm still in the Christmas mood, it's like my body is in 2014 but my mind is in 2013. This year I'm gonna be 18 too! 18 EIGHTEEN 18 EIGHTEEN! I can't believe it! Looking forward to celebrating my birthday even though there's still 6 months haha! Ok, shall go do my devo now :) Hopefully I can try to update this frequently lol...
