What better way to end the internship at The Coliseum again and even better, with ECHOSMITH! This has got to be the ABSOLUTE HIGHLIGHT of my internship and I'm super happy it ended with them, a pop band I can resonate in some ways with!

So let's start from the very beginning where I received a text on National Day from my CS asking me to get a parasol for Sydney because she forgot to bring hers/lost it somewhere along the way. Like erm hello, what on earth is a parasol?? You think it's some kind of medicine but nope, it's actually an umbrella, like those Japanese kind and so with a worried heart (of not finding the umbrella before fetching them from the airport), I headed to Chinatown to search for one and thankfully, I managed to find one! It was a really pretty colour, one of my favourites haha.. So when we picked them up from the airport, their dad was so nice, he asked Sydney to come out first to talk to the fans who had arrived at the airport to welcome them! The ride from the airport to the hotel was pretty cool too, I ended up sitting right at the front with Sydney and her mom and it just dawned upon me at that moment, how cool family bands are! Sure, you get frustrated with each other at times but other than that, you travel the world with the people who mean the world to you! And yay, I got compliment on my watch :) haha! And Sydney liked the Singapore temporary tattoo I had and I offered to pass one set to her too! They kept testing me on my NE knowledge though.. Had dinner with them at Sentosa and I learnt that Sydney has a whole lot of food allergies, like she can't take dairy/milk products! And at the end of the dinney her tummy became really bloated she even asked me to poke it to feel just how hard it became hahah! Love how she played the 'questions' game with us dring dinner and it was nice how she made the whole atmosphere a whole lot less awkward! Then we headed to Gardens By The Bay after that to watch some light show, cool beanzzz~

Tuesday was just so exhausting.. Spent the morning at Topshop for the 987fm and Class95 shopping spree. The family just kept shopping and shopping and my arms ached from carrying all the clothes! Sat with Graham on the steps and we had a really long talk about food! Hahahaha, don't ask me why we sat on the steps, we just did. It was a great time talking to him, it was just like talking to another friend and thankfully there weren't any awkward feelings.. Like we literally spent over an hour talking about food from Topshop all the way to the hotel haha! Even my colleagues were super surprised how I managed to hold a conversation with him for that long! I love how being part of the crew gave me access to the band and how I managed to talk to them 'openly' in a sense! But at the same time, I understood the importance of keeping a distance and giving them space as well :) Promos went right after lunch and it was pretty busy since everything was back-to-back! I was in charge of the media ticketing booth that night and oh my goodness some people really have ridiculous requests even though they aren't part of the media.. Sadly, didn't manage to catch David's set, but I'm really really happy I got to hang out with Joe + ZW & J8! Thankfully, I could find them amidst the crowd, especially ZW + Joe who stood right smack in the middle. And since ZW is so tall, it's easy to spot him, and I also got him to help me take videos hehehe :-) Stayed over at Hard Rock that night and yay we ordered room service again!

Sent Echosmith off at the airport on Wednesday and I'm glad we got to have a short chat at the airport about toilets HAHAHA! Noah and Joshua kept talking about how weird the toilets were in other countries and they just couldn't understand squat toilets and hoses LOL! Really thankful and grateful I managed to grab a photo with the band, as my CS knew I didn't manage to get a picture with them during M&G! Then their dad was like, oh sure she can get a picture she's cherylsocool (I lent him my hotspot and forgot to change my hotspot name to something more formal) she is cool, then I awkwardly laughed HAHAHA! Well all in all, I would say Echosmith is the BEST EVENT out of my entire internship! I guess because they are teenagers too, so it was easier to understand them. Example, I talked to Sydney briefly about studying and she knows my age! (because she was really curious why I looked so young and I was already working.)

It was a very good experience going for all those promos + interviews and I will definitely miss going for all these! Not to mention going for all those concerts hehehe ;) Who knows, maybe next time when I come out to work I'll come back to the music industry! For now, let me just enjoy my Echosmith experience though it has been a few weeks! (I'm sorry this has been super late, haven't had time to blog about a lot of things...)

so yes you are most welcomed sydney :-)
Gardens By The Bay is really pretty at night!
Graham and I on the steps lol! I love all his hats ;)
best pest!!!
managed to get the whole J8 down for the night!
SSC first concert together hahahah :-)
more than blessed to have been part of Echosmith: Live In Singapore! <3
Oh my goodness, it's already August?! Time is passing by too quickly! Can't believe my internship is also coming to an end already, just about 2 weeks more to go! Having loads of mixed feelings about it..

So what can I say about July? It went awesome! Decided to escape reality and head to USS with Nat one Sunday after church and it was super fun! Honestly speaking, I thought I would be a little awkward with him because it was just the both of us, but it turned out otherwise! Thanks to Joe and Aunty Poh Suan's express passes, we took all the highlights of USS! So how it works is that at the gantry, you have to show your pass to enter and if you have an express/student pass, it has your face on it. Obviously the faces weren't our faces since they weren't our passes.. So I got through but Nat got stopped at the gantry because it wasn't his face on the pass HAHAHA and he still said it was his face when it was Joe's. Well all in all, we were total ninjas that day using the express passes to take the rides hehe :-) Poor Nat though was always getting caught, example: putting his lanyard in his pocket when he had to put it at the side while taking the roller coaster, or being scanned and caught for bringing his phone up the roller coaster when we were not supposed to but I managed to get through.. Really thankful for that day, because it was a time where we could have a really good HTHT and talk about random nonsense too haha!

I guess the highlight of my internship would be meeting Michael Learns To Rock! :-) Those 4 days of being a part of their entourage and working with them are still so fresh in my mind! So before picking the band up from the departure hall, I had breakfast with Joan at the airport and some random traveller started talking to me. He was a backpacker and he was travelling around and he just got me really excited for my travels in September! (Need to think of a hashtag for my own vacations..)

Welcomed the band and it was really exciting to see them! Mikkel was so well-dressed, I noticed him and I was just blown away, like who dresses so well for a flight? He wore some suit with his shades and scarf which made him look like x100 cool! Kare was really cute too, he wore some Adidas windbreaker lol.. So after dropping them off at the hotel, we went back to the office to get some stuff then headed back to the hotel (lol lame I know). Had dinner with the band and because it was in 2 private rooms, we had to split up (my colleagues and I) and my CS gave me the choice of sitting in whichever room I preferred to so I just sat with the band since she was seated with them. Kare and Mikkel had a short chat with me, we talked mainly about music and they asked what instrument I could play. I told them I wanted a jam session because it's something really fun and relaxing! Then they told me that if I really want to pursue music or just jam, I can't be afraid and I have to just go out and perform. Can't really remember what they said exactly but it was something along those lines! It was really memorable because they gave me that small advice! :)

Thursday was great too! Had a whole day of promo and Joan and I made friends with Freya, a waitress from Mitzo restaurant since we were all situated outside the restaurant waiting for guests/customers haha.. The promos went well and we headed to Mediacorp for radio interviews and The 5 Show! Jascha asked me to help carry his guitar so you could say that was an honour LOL! I ended up carrying his bag too at The 5 Show! The band looked like they had loads of fun at the Nanyang Coffee House eating their toast, it was a pretty hilarious sight too!

Concert Day was so hectic and stressful, well I can't complain much because I'm sure my CS and other senior colleague had much more to do.. We had to ensure their dressing rooms were properly set up and 'equipped' with drinks and snacks. The merch booth was pretty insane too, there were so many customers! Had a chance to sit in the soundcheck for a short while and it was cool, the whole Star Theatre was empty apart from the crew and us, and the view of the stage was just breathtaking! I must say the show was awesome, managed to catch only a couple of songs but better than nothing! At the end of the night, we managed to get a few group shots with the band as well as the Tour Manager (hahaha he is like the best TM ever, really nice guy!!!) and Anders the bassist!

Sent them off on Saturday morning. When Mikkel was about to leave, we jokingly said we are actually going along with them to Vietnam and I think he believed us.. Then when he was going into the departure hall, he turned and asked why we weren't going and we told him we were just joking and he looked a little disappointed haha! All in all, it was a really good experience! :) But I must say that he is the friendliest artiste! He just smiles at you all the time when you look at him and he even ran to the fans to give them hugs! Kare is also really goofy~ Jascha is just Jascha haha! The 3 of them make such a funny trio! Absolutely no regrets working late into the night and waking up early because it was definitely a very fulfilling event! Old is gold~~~

 work work work
really love this photo, all of them look so happy!
and lol, I was supposed to help the DJ Mike take photos but when Mikkel saw me taking photos he smiled instead HAHAHA
ok 3 grown men using a selfie stick and singing, cute or nah?

TM Jonas, I really really like him! :)
MLTR: 25 Live was definitely a huge success! Here's to the Warner family for working hard! :)
