So, Tim is going into the army later and can I just say that TIME IS PASSING TOO QUICKLY?! Spent last night having the monthly dinner with the group, and Tim just had to make us watch The Conjuring. Of all movies, that show. I personally don't like watching horror shows, because I know I have a weak heart but well, he promised he's gonna buy me a jacket so I watched haha! I closed my eyes 3/4 of the time and shut my ears. If you were there, you'll laugh at how I 'watched' the show. I think the show is pretty good actually, the build-up to the climax is scary though, the ending is manageable. The make up was wow.. With that said, I CONQUERED THE CONJURING AND INSIDIOUS! I think these 2 shows are major horror shows for me lol... Oh oh side track! The lead actor in Insidious, Patrick Wilson, who plays Ed in The Conjuring, ACTED IN PHANTOM OF THE OPERA AS RAOUL! I just found out this morning and I'm mindblown! I knew there was something familiar about his face, but just couldn't figure out what was familiar haha!
It was a good night spent with them nonetheless. All the best in the army Tim, when you come out we'll go have dinner again hehe!
What has been going on in my life the past week:
1. Sister's birthday
2. Last class
3. Doing radio and completing radio
Yesterday on the way to school, I decided to just spend time reading God's word. It was super calming lah! I listened to Christian music while reading it, and spent a good half hour reading Philippians. I think I really treasure long bus rides now, because you have time to be alone in solitude with no one else talking to you and immerse yourself into the Bible. Reading Philippians really kept me thinking/feeling, how I want to have more courage and be fearless when I share the gospel. Sometimes I'm sure we do fear we say the wrong things or we get rejected, or like if we invite our friends to church and they don't want to come we also feel sad. But in Paul's case, he stood firm in the gospel, he knew he was a fighter for Christ! And nothing can stop him, even if it meant landing him in prison. We should all aim to be like Paul yeah! I'm making this my prayer - Philippians 1:9-10 "And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ". May we continue to grow more in Christ each day :)
